CaRMS is embarking on an important leadership transition as we begin the search for our next Chief Executive Officer.
Over the last decade, CaRMS’ CEO John Gallinger has been instrumental in shaping and delivering on CaRMS’ priorities as the trusted, independent steward of Canada’s postgraduate medical education application and match process. His tenure has been defined by collaboration, transparency, and a steadfast commitment to supportive partnerships throughout the medical education community. As he prepares to retire on June 30, 2025, we extend our gratitude for his leadership and lasting impact.
The CaRMS Board of Directors has engaged executive recruitment firm Caldwell to help identify our next CEO—an innovative and strategic leader who will guide CaRMS into the future. The incoming CEO will drive our mission forward, lead the organization to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of its learner and faculty clients, and champion CaRMS’ role as a trusted partner, exceptional service provider, and critical contributor to the success of Canada’s medical education system.
