En tant que conf\u00e9rencier hautement estim\u00e9 en m\u00e9decine d\u2019urgence, il apporte de l\u2019\u00e9nergie, de la passion et des ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents pour impliquer et mener les m\u00e9decins.<\/p>\n<p>Auparavant, le docteur Ertel travaill\u00e9 comme vice-pr\u00e9sident, m\u00e9decine et qualit\u00e9, pour la <em>BC Interior Health Authority <\/em>et comme directeur m\u00e9dical ex\u00e9cutif pour <em>Interior Health Central and South Okanagan<\/em>. Il a \u00e9galement occup\u00e9 le poste de chef du personnel \u00e0 la KGH, chef du d\u00e9partement des soins d\u2019urgence de la KGH et de directeur m\u00e9dical pour les services d\u2019urgence de la <em>Interior Health<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Le docteur Ertel poss\u00e8de une vaste exp\u00e9rience clinique et de leadership, couvrant les soins tertiaires jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019exercice de la m\u00e9decine familiale en milieu rural, en plus d\u2019\u00eatre impliqu\u00e9 dans la recherche en milieu clinique. Il est un membre fondateur du <em>Interior Health Research Ethics Board<\/em> et a de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience en enseignement avec le <em>UBC Southern Medical Program<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>En dehors du travail, le docteur Ertel aime passer du temps avec son \u00e9pouse et ses trois filles, courir, faire du v\u00e9lo, du ski et jouer au hockey.
