Monique Williams is a first-year medical resident in Family Medicine at the University of Alberta. She is a Canadian Armed Forces member and is enrolled under the MMTP education stream. She has been a member of the CAF for 25 years and started her medical journey as a Medical Technician before training as a Physician Assistant and deciding to pursue advanced education as a physician. She has served on multiple boards and committees at both the provincial and federal levels, and is passionate about her advocacy work in patient safety and with vulnerable populations.
